ORE withdrawal policy
We do not, as a matter of course, offer refunds for the ORE and not everyone will be eligible for a refund. Please consider this before you apply for the examination and before you apply to withdraw. For details on refunds please see our ORE refund policy.
You need to book yourself onto an examination 8 to 10 weeks prior to the exam taking place. Please ensure that you only book a place if you are prepared and fit to sit the examination.
Due to a generally high demand for places, we do not allow candidates to defer examinations to another sitting once a place has been booked and paid for. If you withdraw from an examination, you will need to reapply for any future exams you wish to sit through eGDC. Examination places and payments are non‐transferable.
If you withdraw from an examination that has already been paid for, it will not count as one of your four attempts, and you will not be offered a refund.
Those who are applying for a withdrawal confirm that they no longer wish to sit the booked exam, and understand that if they apply for a refund it may not be granted. If a refund is denied, they will not be re‐entered onto that exam. Please consider this before you withdraw.
If you choose to withdraw from the exam, you will need to provide us with your withdrawal form as soon as possible. Withdrawals submitted after the exam takes place may not be considered.
All candidates must complete and sign the ORE withdrawal form if they wish to withdraw from an examination.
Once the form has been received, you will be withdrawn from the examination immediately and will not be able to re‐enter. All withdrawal requests are considered final.
The ORE withdrawal form can be downloaded here and should be emailed to the team.
