Support for those facing a fitness to practise investigation

We know that our fitness to practise investigations can be difficult for those involved. Some investigations are complex and take time to conclude, which can often lead to feelings of stress and anxiety. You should reach out if you are feeling this way.

The organisations listed below offer support.

If you need health and wellbeing support at any time during an investigation, you should discuss this with one of our staff members who can advise you on where you can find help.

If you are represented, your legal representative, indemnifier or defence organisation may be able to signpost you to other health and wellbeing support available to you.

Information about a health condition that raises concerns about your fitness to practise may be used in our proceedings. We will keep information about your health confidential, although we may need to share it with organisations offering relevant support. We will discuss this with you, before it is shared.
